Many western North American pines both drop the open and closed pine cones as the closed ones open from the heat of surrounding fires and the draft caused by them cause them to fly up and find a spot with more sunlight hopefully far enough from the fires. Not beneficial for them if the fires are massive. Think it’s an evolutionary thing as they can grow skinny and tall next to each other eventually blocking sunlight for their children being perfect for forest fires so it saves the seeds until a fire starts and they can still have children(lack of a better word). Not an expert lol pretty sure it’s just certain species of pine. I’m not a fan of forest fires but the dead trees can also be a great source of nutrients for new ones to grow.

I would like to suggest that you try this exercise: try to hum or sort of sing the highest note you can possibly sing for about five seconds, and then the lowest note. Do that about 2-3 times and then talk regular without trying to go high or low and that’s your speaking voice.

My pairings of choice are, English/Balkan blends with a nice stout/dark ale, and on the flip side, a nice coffee/caramel aromatic blend with a premium European lager.

I just took up a pipe today, being in the uk, it’s not a regular thing here, although the massive resurgence in stoicism for men in the uk, it’s still ok to do, but I completely resonate with this vid, for the first time I just sat and thought about stuff while I smoked on my pipe, it was the first “smoking” experience (short of the alternativeive smoking experiences while I was addicted) where I just enjoyed the experience rather than it being a reactionary or a cigarette to satisfy my nicotine addiction, I truly enjoyed it and it was incredibly relaxing. so its a wide cut but its really for rolling ciggs, real pipe tobacco is fairly wet compared this that crap. they make it a wider cut to avoid taxes wich is good for the consumer because were told we need to be taxed the crap out of to have freedom of choice. real pipe tobacco wont smoke well in a cigarette if not dried out a bit first and usually tastes better granted just like shit whiskey there is shit tobacco too, im no snob either just dont go with super cheap stuff if you intend to actually smoke a pipe

I haven't watched the video yet, however i recently acquired an old grabow grand duke. Before the grabow i using some cheap headshop pipe made intaly, I've noticed a huge difference in how the grabow smokes. The grabow is a billard versus the other other being bent and a little bigger. The stem fits tighter on the grabow allowing for a tighter and smoother drag.
